Frogs are one of the first types of beasts players will encounter within the Tower of Barbs. They are common creatures that move fairly slow, though they may attempt to hop away when the player gets too close.
They can be eaten to regain a small amount of HP, or crushed to spawn a Frongus, a mushroom that creates a cloud of tear gas to stun enemies.
Like most beasts, it has a rare golden variant, the Golden Frog.

Frogs first appear on 1F Ikegara. They appear most commonly on the early floors, but they can be found all throughout the Tower of Barbs.

- While frogs are useful to new players for restoring HP, it may be more beneficial to crush them for their Frongus, as it is one of the best mushrooms when it comes to stunning enemies, particularly Haters. However, be careful to not get too close to the gas, or you will be stunned as well.
- Frogs repeatedly say “gero gero,” a Japanese onomatopoeia for the sound a large frog makes.
