A rare genetic variation of the normal Crab, the Golden Crab behaves in very much the same manner; they can be caught by crouching but if you attempt to stomp, stab or drill it and miss, like all crabs, it will scurry away and escape into the ground. It will resurface a few seconds later, giving you another attempt to capture or kill it.
Crushing a Golden Crab will produce a Golden Vampire Fungus. Like all other Golden beasts, it cannot be cooked.
