Let It Die is an "extreme action game" coupled with asynchronous online gameplay while expanding on them with survival aspects. Let It Die revolves around the idea of granting meaning to death in a video game. As such, the game is structured around the idea of death influencing gameplay, with one example being that if a player’s character dies in the game, their avatar can appear in another person’s game.

The game has a large emphasis on action, with each Weapon having its own distinct characteristics. there also being armor and misc edible items that will only prolong your in game life. Additionally, while there is a leveling system in place, the developers claim it isn’t as straightforward as it is in many other games and won’t simply result in players getting stronger and more resilient to death.

The Story[edit | edit source]

The Story: In the year 2026 AD, a large tectonic disturbance occurred causing mass destruction around the world. South Western Tokyo split off into the ocean and became an island covered by a deep fog. Continuous seismic activity then caused a large spire to rise out of the ocean through the island creating a tower-like structure that pierces the clouds. Many mysteries remain hidden from the eyes of mankind await those courageous enough to dare approach the tower...

Characters[edit | edit source]

Characters: Players enter the world with nothing but their underwear and must fight to survive in the post-apocalyptic world that awaits them. Enemies defeated may drop Weapons and Armor for players, which may be the difference between life and death...

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Gameplay: Players fight through a treacherous tower obtaining various types of weapons and armor while finding creatures and mushrooms to eat in order to stay alive. Upon death, a player’s "death data" is then circulated among other player’s games where they will appear as formidable opponents. The sharing of "death data" is one of the various asynchronous multiplayer elements that can be found in the game. More details to come at a later date.
